questions?
I'm here for you.
Whether you've already discovered the healing power of psychotherapy or bodywork or are just getting started, my goal is to be as transparent as possible and provide answers to the most common questions about how I can help you.

I do! I take Pt. 32 Healthcare, Anthem, Quest Behavioral Health, Aetna, Cigna, Carelon, and BCBS of Massachusetts Virtual Network. For out of network services and bodywork I take cash, Venmo, credit cards and HSA cards for payment (psychotherapy). Payment is expected at the time of service.
No, I do not. If you have MaineCare, please seek a psychotherapy provider who does bill MaineCare as I cannot accept you as a self pay client.
I am located at 59 Webster Street, Lewiston, ME
Yes, I offer both. I can do psychotherapy via telehealth (for Maine, Massachusetts or New Hampshire residents), and I can do distance Polarity sessions regardless of where you live. You just need a good internet connection for both.
It depends. I am licensed currently in Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire, so if you are a resident of one of those states, or traveling to one of those states, we can meet virtually. If you are a resident of any other state, or traveling to any other state aside from those three, we cannot meet until you are physically located back in ME, NH or MA. Essentially, the rules state that you the client must be physically located in a state I am licensed in at the time of our session.
Yes, I do offer skills based groups, both online and in person. These are not therapy groups, and I do not bill insurance for these. Please sign up for my email list and follow me on social media for updates as to group start dates, information and pricing.
I am both a psychotherapist, with a MSW (Master of Social Work degree) and 20 years of experience and an energetic bodyworker with 660 clock hours of training in Polarity Therapy. I am also an Access Bars Practitioner. I am a therapist that enjoys bringing out of the box thinking and a holistic view to my psychotherapy work, and also blend my psychotherapy skills with bodywork practice to deepen the work, if the client so desires. Both modalities (talk therapy and bodywork) stand solidly on their own respectively as powerful healing practices, AND I like that they complement each other beautifully and that I can offer my clients both. I have a background in fitness as a Crossfit athlete and coach, and movement and embodiment are integral to my healing work with clients. I am direct, I love humor and will use it appropriately and strategically, I will ask you questions, and ask you to ask questions of yourself and your process as a way of expanding what is possible for you in session and in your healing journey.
While I do not specialize in a specific mental health issue, I have extensive experience working with individuals who have faced acute and chronic anxiety, cancer, chronic illness, depression, physical and sexual abuse, medical trauma, communication issues in intimate relationships (both partner-related and familial), and workplace interpersonal conflict.
I have a MSW (master of social work) degree from Smith College School for Social Work, and am a LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker). I have also completed a 660-clock hour program in Polarity Therapy at Spa Tech Institute in Westbrook, Maine. I have been a social worker and therapist for 20 years, and graduated from Spa Tech July 2022. I will be pursuing my BCPP (Board Certified Polarity Practitioner) designation in 2022-2023. This is the highest level of credential for a Polarity Practitioner.
I am also trained as a group facilitator through the Center for Mind Body Medicine in their Mindfulness Based Skills Group model.
Energy can be affected, moved and cleared in a number of ways, and using sound/vibration is one of them. I use tuning forks and singing bowls to do this. The crystals I use are mostly clear quartz, and are able to hold and transmit a high vibration. I use crystals to clear energy, and may also lay them on the body during a Polarity session to nourish and support the chakra system and related areas of the body.
That is a possibility. What would that look like for us to work together in that way? Please reach out to me directly to discuss.
*This applies to psychotherapy clients only*
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
● You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
● Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
● If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
● Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
I ask for at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel any type of appointment with me. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice or no show an appointment with me (in person or virtual) you will be charged a $75.00 fee.
Yes, I do. This will be arranged upon intake. This is so I or my biller can automatically charge your card for co-pays and late cancel/no show fees.
Yes! I am licensed to see psychotherapy clients in Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. I can see clients who are legal residents of those states, in person, or via telehealth.
